Tulsa, OK (4/17/23) — Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa (DSAT) is a non-profit organization that exists to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities. Today DSAT announced the appointment of Lindsay Nozak as the new Executive Director. Nozak succeeds Katy Hough, who has faithfully served as the Executive Director since 2017. Board President, Chris Swift, announced the appointment of Nozak stating “We are excited to welcome Lindsay Nozak as the new Executive Director for DSAT! She brings with her substantial experience in the special needs non-profit world, having worked in many roles at Little Light House for 13 years. Not only that, but Lindsay also has experience running multiple businesses alongside her husband and currently runs Nozak Consulting. Lindsay was already involved in our organization as a board member and is known to many of our families already. Her desire to serve our loved ones with Down syndrome and their families is very evident. Please help us welcome her!” Lindsay Nozak has been involved with DSAT since 2016, though she has been an active part of many of the DSAT members lives since 2008. Her DSAT involvement began with partnering at the 2016 Tulsa Buddy Walk, serving sno cones at the event alongside her husband with their business, Harper’s Hut Shaved Ice. Nozak became involved with the annual Buddy Walk from then on, either being a vendor, a guest, or serving at the event. Nozak joined the Board of Directors in 2021, and has served on the Buddy Walk committee.
