Join us for a discussion on the Top 5 Issues and Concerns During Puberty on Monday, December 14 at 6:30 p.m.

Presented by Terri Couwenhoven MS, CSE, who is a well known sex educator and author, specializing in the design and implementation of sexuality programs and resources for people with cognitive disabilities, their parents, and the professionals who support them. Her gentle, matter-of-fact approach combined with extensive knowledge and experience make her a popular speaker with self advocates, parents and professionals around the country.

Families often experience anxiety when their son or daughter with intellectual disabilities begins to exhibit changes that occur during puberty. In this workshop, parents will learn about the most frequently identified issues and concerns of parents of tweens with I/DD and practical ways to address them. Ideas for teaching, home activities, and useful resources specifically designed for individuals with intellectual disabilities will be shared.

This will be a virtual Zoom discussion. Registrants will be sent the direct link before the discussion.
