Join the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa (DSAT) for the 18th annual Buddy Walk Event on Sunday, September 27, 2020. This year, with the exception of a car parade, our event will be mostly virtual.
The DSAT is a non-profit organization that exists to enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome, their families and their communities.

Tulsa, OK (07/28/20) — The DSAT invites the public to celebrate its annual Buddy Walk on Sunday September 27, 2020. Our annual Tulsa Buddy Walk, held each fall, raises awareness and promotes acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. It’s also our biggest fundraiser of the year. Our walk this year, will be a mostly virtual event, with the exception of a car parade for our families, in order to protect our families.

THE BUDDY WALK

The Buddy Walk is typically a 1/4-mile walk designed to promote the understanding and acceptance of people with Down syndrome. It is a family-friendly event where friends and family form teams to support their Buddy with Down syndrome. This year, due to Covid-19 concerns, we are hosting a mostly virtual event! Ninety-three per-cent of all money raised stays in the local community and is used to provide scholarships for families and self-advocates to attend the National Down Syndrome Congress Convention, to provide new parent packets to doctors and hospitals, provide new education and inclusion programs and to support families and individuals with Down syndrome.
