New Families Breakfast

DSAT is excited to welcome new families and families with children from birth to 3 to attend our quarterly New Families breakfast on Saturday, May 12.

This free event is a great way to get to know other families! Siblings are welcome to attend.

A Mother's Day craft is planned to coincide with Mother's Day weekend.

Sarah Koehling, MS CCC-SLP, will also be available to answer questions regarding TEFRA. TEFRA provides Sooner Care benefits to children with physical or mental disabilities who would not ordinarily be eligible for SSI benefits because of their parent's income or resources. Children with Down Syndrome qualify for TEFRA and it is a wonderful resource to families. However, applying for TEFRA can be a bit overwhelming. Sarah is a long time DSAT volunteer and advocate who is available to meet with parents to review TEFRA paperwork and to help guide you through the process.

Breakfast foods and drinks will be provided by the Down Syndrome Association of Tulsa however we do ask that you RSVP your number of guests so that we have an accurate head count.

If you share the event with family or friends, please be sure to ask them to RSVP for the event via Down Syndrome Association FB Discussion Page under Events. If they do not have access you can do that for them.
