Holland Hall Offering Summer Camps for Children & Teens with Down syndrome

Holland Hall will be offering two camps specifically for children and teens with Down syndrome this summer. 

Movement & Make Believe - Company 21 
7/9-7/13
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Early Pre-K - 5th grade
A specialized camp geared to our Down syndrome community will focus on core developmental needs. There will be theatre in which campers will explore social skills, communication, acquisition, emotion and expression. The dance element will focus on gross motor skills, balance and creative movement. The day will also be broken up with snacks, free play and an "arts and crafts" time (led by student volunteers) which will focus on literacy and fine motor skills. This camp is sure to get skids moving, creating, having fun and making new friends. Note: Campers will need to bring a sack lunch each day.

 

Teen Week - Company 21
7/16-7/20
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Grades 6 - 11
This specialized camp geared to our Down syndrome community is sure to offer a week of fun! Campers will be offered a week long theatre class focusing on improvisation and ensemble building material to help foster confidence and creativity. The dance element will focus on basic dance technique, style and choreography to continue to build upon the confidence and creative work done in the theatre class. It will be a week of creativity and expression and one sure to created lots of memories. Note: Campers will need to bring a sack lunch each day.
Each class is limited to 20 students. Register now before spots are full!
